Golf Continues Fall Campaign at Trinity Forest Invitational

HOUSTON — Rice continues its 2019 fall season this Sunday-Tuesday, September 22-24, when it travels to Dallas for the third annual Trinity Forest Invitational, hosted by SMU. The tournament will be played at the par-71, 7,486-yard Trinity Forest Golf Club.

"I'm expecting a pretty good bounce back. We played a really difficult golf course last week in San Antonio. We didn't play as well as we would have liked, but we learned a lot. We just have to clean up a few things that are keeping us from scoring well. I think we can do it this week. We know this golf course. There's a comfort level and confidence that we can go out and play well this week."

Harrison Hineline – No. 4 position … is averaging 75.67 strokes per round … tied for 32nd-place at the season-opening Lone Star Invitational … participated in six tournaments last year, recording a 75.71 stroke average … had five rounds of par or better … recorded a season-best 68 in the final round of the Bayou City Collegiate Classic, where he tied for fifth-place.
Thomas Bockholt III – No. 5 position … averaging 79.00 strokes per round … made his first collegiate start at the Lone Star Invitational, finishing in 60th-place … native of Austin, Texas and a product of Westlake High School … averaged 75.89 strokes over nine rounds in the summer.
PAIRINGS
For Sunday's first round, the Owls will tee off from hole No. 10 beginning at 9:35 a.m. CT. Rice will be paired with student-athletes from Abilene Christian and Little Rock. Monday and Tuesday's tee times and pairings will depend on results from the previous round.

Following the Trinity Forest Invitational, the Owls will travel to Bridgeport, W.V., for the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational on Oct. 7-8.
