In total, the Owls will play 13 teams who qualified for postseason play, eight of which won 20 or more games in 2018-19.
In their first appearance since the NCAA Tournament, the Owls will officially open the 2019-20 season on Tuesday, Nov. 5 with a home matchup against Nicholls State. Rice then hosts Little Rock on Saturday, Nov. 9, a season after which the Trojans won 21 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
Rice hits the road for the first time on Wednesday, Nov. 13 with a trip to Dallas to face former SWC rival SMU at Moody Coliseum. After the showdown with the Aggies on Nov. 17, the Owls travel to Big 12 opponent Oklahoma St. on Saturday, Nov. 23 and to McNeese St. on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
After Thanksgiving, the Owls return to action on Saturday, Nov. 30 when they host Northern Arizona before traveling across town to Texas Southern on Dec. 7. Rice will then host Prairie View after an eight-day layoff on Dec. 15.

Last season was one for the record books for the Owls, reeling off a school record 28 wins while sweeping both the C-USA regular season (16-0) and conference tournament.
