Mananquil Named To Scholar All-Region Team

National Coaches' Association Recognizes Academic/Soccer Success
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rice's Lianne Mananquil was named a United Soccer Coaches 2019 Scholar All-Region honoree, the organization announced Monday (Dec. 16).
A total of 39 student-athletes were named to three Scholar All-West Region teams in 2019. Mananquil was named to the Scholar All-West Region second team after recording a 3.79 grade point average in Kinesiology.
Last month the United Soccer Coaches also named Mananquil an All-Region honoree after playing more than 1,300 minutes in the Owls' midfield. The senior from Jacksonville, Fla., closed out her collegiate career with 22 assists on Rice goals, the third-highest total in school history.
Under the direction of Head Coach Brian Lee the Rice soccer program compiled a winning 10-6-3 record and tied for third place in the 2019 C-USA standings. The full list of Scholar All-Region Honorees is available at the above link.
