HOUSTON - The No. 21 ranked Rice Owls volleyball team will close out the Conference USA regular season this week with a pair of road matches. The Owls will first head south to San Antonio to face a Roadrunners team that they swept back on Oct. 4 at Tudor Fieldhouse. Rice will then play the regular season finale at UTEP in a rematch from Sept. 27 when the Owls also swept the Miners.
Rice enters this week in second place in the C-USA standings after seeing their 13-match win streak snapped by No. 19 WKU in a thrilling five sets. The Owls are unbeaten (9-0) in true road matches this season.

- The Owls moved up to No. 15 in the latest RPI rankings. Rice currently has seven wins over Top-100 RPI teams, including three over top-50 RPI teams.
- Rice is tied with SFA and Towson for the fifth-longest active road win streak (9) in the country.
- The Owls currently ranks Top-20 in the NCAA in kills per set (2nd-14.87), assists per set (5th-13.65), winning percentage (8th-.917), opponents hitting percentage (12th-.149), digs per set (15th-17.70), and hitting percentage (16th-.274).
- Junior outside hitter Nicole Lennon ranks 7th in the NCAA in kills per set (4.92), 12th in points per set (5.30) and 21st in attacks per set (11.80).
- Sophomore middle blocker Anota Adekunle ranks 5th in the NCAA in hitting percentage (.426).
