HOUSTON — With a talented group of veterans returning and one of the top recruiting classes in Conference USA, the Rice swim team officially opens the 2019-2020 NCAA season this Friday-Saturday (Oct. 11-12) with the annual Fall Splash Invitational.

Joining the Owls this weekend at the Rice Competition Pool are the U.S. Air Force Academy, Georgia Tech, the University of Houston, and the University of the Incarnate Word. The 18-event meet schedule is listed below and will be scored in the championship format.

Last month the the Rice swimmers won the CSCAA Collegiate Open Water Championship in Lawrence, Kansas. Owls' head coach Seth Huston, now in his 18th season at the helm of the program, has liked what he's seen of the team's training so far. He previews the home-opening meet in the above video.
