Military Appreciation Day Set for October 6 vs UTSA

The Owls Football team will hold their annual Military Appreciation Game, presented by Wyndham, at Rice Stadium on Saturday, October 6 with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. versus UTSA. The Rice Department of Athletics would like to show its appreciation to Veterans and Active Duty Military by giving them free tickets to the game. Family and friends of Veterans or Active Duty can also receive tickets.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to take part in the Tailgate Owley (Opens up at 3:00 p.m.) military themed activations, which include a UH-60 Blackhawk, HMMWV Humvee, and 35' Fuel Tanker Static Display, US Air Force Band of The West Tailgate Rock Band, Desert Patrol Vehicle, EOD 36' Truck display, and an Army rock climbing wall.
Special activities in-stadium include a pregame flyover of a F18 aircrafts, Veteran of The Game recognition, and attendance of various Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, Texas Air and Army National Guard Recruiting Offices.
