Golf Returns to the Links at Maridoe Intercollegiate

Rice tees off on Saturday at 10:20 a.m.
HOUSTON — After a short break, Rice returns to links this weekend when it travels to Carrollton for the Maridoe Intercollegiate, played Oct. 6-8 and hosted by North Texas. The tournament will be played at the par-71, 7,300-yard Maridoe Golf Club.

"I expect them to compete. We've been preparing well for each event that we've played in (and) for each round. The guys have really bought into having a good game plan. It's been awesome to watch them strategically plan before each round. We've done a really good job of that."

Joining Rice in the field are Arkansas State, Boise State, Coastal Carolina, Houston, Indiana, New Mexico, North Florida, North Texas, SMU, Tennessee, UT-Arlington, UTSA and Texas A&M.

For Saturday's first round, the Owls will tee off from holes No. 1 and No. 10 beginning at 10:20 a.m. CT. Rice will compete in groups with student-athletes from Boise State as well as a group of individuals. Sunday and Monday's tee times and pairings will depend on results after the previous round.
UP NEXT
Following the Maridoe Intercollegiate, the Owls will take three weeks off before closing the fall season when they travel to Loxley, Ala., for the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 27-28.
