Gustafsson Shines in Loss to TCU

Rice senior Adam Gustafsson engineered a masterful performance in downing TCU's 54th ranked Guillermo Nuñez in straight sets, but his teammates could not duplicate his efforts as the No. 2 Horned Frogs downed the 26th ranked Owls 4-1 in Fort Worth on Friday.
Gustafsson took control at the outset and cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 win over Nuñez, who came into the day having won eight of last 10 matches. Gustafsson improved to 10-5 in duals this season and reached double figures in dual wins for the fourth straight year.
The Owls be back in action next weekend when they travel to Beaumont on April 9 to face No. 71 Lamar and then come home to host No. 27 SMU on Sunday, April 10.
