Owls Swept By Commodores

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The 58th-ranked Rice women were swept 7-0 by 14th-ranked Vanderbilt Saturday morning in Nashville, Tenn.
The loss is the Owls' fourth straight as Rice has played seven of the last eight matches on the road, all against ranked foes.
The Commodores took the doubles point, then swept through singles for the win. Rice's Blair DiSesa fell to 40th-ranked Amanda Fish 6-4, 6-3 at the top spot, while Christine Dao lost to 19th-ranked Taka Bertrand 6-3, 6-0 at number two.
The Owls conclude their marathon road swing on Tuesday at 33rd-ranked Texas A&M before finally returning home to the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium to host Texas State on Friday.
