Rice Swept At Fifth-Ranked Georgia Tech

ATLANTA, Ga. -- The 58th-ranked Rice women were swept 7-0 by fifth-ranked Georgia Tech Thursday afternoon in Atlanta, Ga.
After the Yellowjackets secured the doubles point, the Owls tandem of Tiffany Lee and Christine Dao scored a win at number three doubles, taking an 8-7 (9-7) decision against Alison Silverio and Kacie Anson in an abbreviated match.
Behind the tough play of three ranked players, including 11th-ranked Kristi Miller, Tech swept through Rice in singles action an the way to the win.
Rice (3-5) plays its fourth-straight road match on Saturday as the Owls travel to 14th-ranked Vanderbilt.
