Swim Team Reception Set For Oct. 21

Owl fans and former letterwinners are invited to meet and greet the 2005-2006 Rice Swim Team on Friday, Oct. 21, in the R Room, announced head coach Seth Huston. The reception, which includes a Tex-Mex buffet and door prizes, will be hosted by the swim coaches and team members at 7 pm. Rice hosts North Texas and the University of New Orleans in its home-opening double-dual meet two days later on Sunday, Oct. 23.
Last season five Owl swimmers qualified in eight events for the NCAA Championships. Rice finished fourth in the Western Athletic Conference in its final year in the league. The Blue and Gray has meets against three Conference USA members before the league championships in February.
