Massengale Makes Olympic Trials Time In 400

IRVINE, Calif. - Sophomore Brittany Massengale's list of events to compete in the 2008 Olympic trials has doubled.
After qualifying for the trials in the 800-meter freestyle on Thursday, Massengale added the 400-free to her event list Saturday evening at the USA Swimming National Championships in Irvine, Calif. The standout from Alma, Ark., posted a qualifying time of 4:16.73 in the event finals. She finished 12th among an elite field of 61.
Massengale looks to add one more event to the list on the meet's final day of action when she swims her speciality, the 1500-meters, on Sunday. The finals of the 400-meters can be viewed at the following link.
