DiSesa Falls In Quarterfinals

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- Rice senior Blair DiSesa lost a tough three-set decision on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships qualifying tournament consolation draw in Pacific Palisades, Calif.
DiSesa rallied from a set back, but her comeback came up just short as she fell to Kendra Strohm of Texas 6-1, 2-6, 7-6 (3).
"I'm really proud of all the effort the complete team put forth both here and at Wake Forest during this competition week," said head coach Roger White. "I'm especially proud of Blair and the success she had on a national level. Hopefully this will serve as a platform for future success."

DiSesa rejoins her teammates for the ITA Southwest Regional Championships in College Station. The tournament runs from Oct. 21 through Oct. 24.
