Justin Chang

Prior to Rice, Justin Chang served on both the men's and women's volleyball coaching staffs at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2017 to 2020, with six berths in the NCAA postseason and one NCAA Championship game appearance (2019 BVB). As the technical coordinator, he was responsible for opponent scout development and providing coaches with statistical analysis for practices and matches.
Chang served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Houston (2016-17) and has also coached juniors with Houston Skyline and Team Rockstar.
He has been a consultant technical coordinator with USA Volleyball for the Men's Sitting and Women's Senior National Teams. He has primarily assisted the U.S. Women’s Pan American training group which earned repeat gold-medal finishes in the Pan-American Cup (2018 and 2019).
Chang has served on the technical staff for the Southern California Region (SCVA) High Performance program and for the National Volleyball Association (NVA).
He is originally from Potomac, Maryland. He holds a bachelor in business administration from Baylor University, a master's in public policy from the University of Southern California, and is currently pursuing a master's in business administration from Rice University.
