Terrance McBride joined the Owls in April 2024 as a graduate assistant. McBride joins the women's basketball staff after spending last year with the Rice men's basketball staff as a graduate assistant.
With the Owls, McBride will support coaches and staff with a variety of duties.
Prior to becoming a graduate assistant, McBride was a student-athlete with the Owls during the 2021-22 season, transferring to Rice after spending three seasons with Cornell. He was one of five players to see action in all 33 games, making 10 starts, including the final nine games.
At Cornell, he earned All-Ivy League honorable mention honors his junior year after averaging 12.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game. McBride started in all 27 games during the 2019-20 season and shot 48% from the floor, 32% from three and 77% from the free-throw line.
McBride graduated from Cornell University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Labor Relations. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Global Affairs from Rice.
