Cullen Neal enters his second season as the Director of Player Development/Video Coordinator for Men's Basketball.
Neal joined the Owls after spending last year as a Graduate Assistant at Nevada. Prior to entering coaching, Neal spent two years playing professionally in Poland in Germany, averaging 15.4 points and 3.2 assists over his two seasons.
Neal began his collegiate career at New Mexico (2013-16), helping the Lobos to an NCAA Tournament appearance as a freshman. In three years, he averaged 9.9 points and 2.8 assists, including a career-best 12.3 in 2015-16 as a redshirt sophomore. As a freshman, he made the Mountain West All-Academic Team and was the Mountain West Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Two years later, he was a CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree as well as a member of the NABC Good Works Team.
After graduating from New Mexico, he spent one year at Ole Miss, helping the Rebels to an appearance in the NIT quarterfinals. He spent his final year at Saint Mary's, also helping the Gaels to the quarterfinals of the NIT.
