Lee Announces 2026 Soccer Schedule

HOUSTON – Rice soccer head coach Brian Lee has announced the 2026 schedule for the Rice soccer team.
Rice's non-conference features the reigning national champion, five conference champions, and six 10-win teams, with a combined record of 100-47-37 (.645).
"We have a nice blend of experienced returnees, talented newcomers, and high aspirations for the 2026 season," Lee said. "We put together one of the toughest non-conference slates in the country to prepare for the challenges of competing for conference championships, NCAA berths and to give us the opportunity to improve with every match. The home slate offers our fans the chance to see us match up with some of the best programs in college soccer at historic Holloway Field."
The 2026 season will open with Texas A&M (5-7-5) at Holloway Field on Aug. 12.
A trip to Annapolis to take on Navy (9-6-4) marks the first road trip of the season on Aug. 15. The road swing continues at HCU, coming off the Southland championship with a 12-9-2 campaign last season.
Rice returns home for a pair of games starting against Lamar (7-8-5) on Aug. 23, before welcoming SEC champion Vanderbilt, coming off a trip to the Elite Eight with an 18-4-2 record last year.
A road swing against champions begins Sept. 3, when the Owls face the Sun Belt Tournament champion Texas State (10-4-7). The road swing continues at the reigning national champion, Florida State (16-2-4), on Sept. 6, marking the fourth time in five years that Rice has faced the reigning champion.
Rice returns home to face last year's Sun Belt regular season champion, UL-Monroe, on Sept. 10. The Warhawks were 13-3-4 last season.
The Owls close the non-conference slate on the road against South Alabama (10-4-4), with the Jaguars posting 10-win seasons the last seven years, including 16 wins during the 2023 campaign.
The conference slate opens at the reigning regular season champion, Memphis, on Sept. 17.
Rice returns home for a pair of games against Temple and Tulsa, before heading to UTSA in an American Conference tournament final rematch on Oct. 1.
The Owls return home to face UAB on Oct. 8, before heading out to Greenville, N.C., to face East Carolina.
Rice will host North Texas on Oct. 15 before heading to the Sunshine State for games at South Florida and Florida Atlantic.
The regular season finale opens Halloween weekend on Oct. 30 against Charlotte.
The American Conference Tournament quarterfinals follow on Nov. 9, in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
