HOUSTON – The Rice women's track and field team heads out for the Cameron Burrell Invite at Houston and the Texas A&M Alumni Muster this weekend in the last two meets before the American Conference Championship.
Several Owls with the top times and marks in the American Conference will be in action this weekend, with Cullen Merrell (2:08.16) holding the best time in the 800m.
Julia Johannesdottir ranks high in multiple events, with the top mark in the 100m hurdles (13.02) and second-best total in the heptathlon (5536).
Josie Taylor leads the conference with a clearance of 1.87m in the high jump, while Alice Taylor (1.81m) sits third for the high jump and first in the heptathlon (5606).
Mckyla Van der Westhuizen leads the javelin with a mark of 59.06m, with Emily Harbach in second with a throw of 52.65m.
