Taylor Named American Field Athlete of the Week

IRVING – Rice graduate student Josie Taylor was named the American Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Taylor set a new personal best with a clearance of 1.87m in the high jump to win the event this past weekend in her final home meet at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet.
Her time currently ranks first in the American, fifth in the NCAA West Region and sixth in the NCAA.
Rice splits between the Cameron Burell Invite at UH and Texas A&M Alumni Muster this weekend.
