13 Owls earned Second Team Scholar All-America honors
LEWISBURG, Penn. - The Rice Owls swimming and diving team earned Spring Team Scholar All-America honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The Owls clinched the honor with a team GPA of 3.78 during the spring, posting a top-15 GPA among women's teams this semester.
To earn this prestigious honor, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester.
Additionally, 13 Owls were named Spring Individual Scholar All-America. All recipients were named to the second team. The recipients are Abigail King, Amelia Kane, Arielle Hayon, Ava Hamblett, Ava Portello, Catherine Eland, Ella Dyson, Jessica Lawton, Lily Cramer, Megan Phillip, Mimi Filkin, Reese Cole, and Siiri Einio.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
