
Lee Announces 2025 Rice Soccer Schedule

HOUSTON – Rice soccer head coach Brian Lee has announced the team's upcoming schedule for the 2025 season. A schedule featuring nine home matches, the Owls will face several NCAA Tournament teams from last season, including the reigning national champion.
The Owls will open the 2025 campaign at Holloway Field on Aug. 14 against Houston Christian. A quick road match at UTRGV will follow on Aug. 17 before returning to Houston to face Incarnate Word on Aug. 21.
Rice will then travel to take on a national power on Aug. 24, when the team faces the reigning national champion North Carolina in Chapel Hill. The Owls will then welcome an NCAA Tournament team from a season ago, Oklahoma State, to Holloway Field on Aug. 28.
Louisiana will open a three-game road trip on Aug. 31 with matchups against Lamar (Sept. 7) and the conference opener at UAB on Sept. 11 to follow.
The Owls will then welcome Florida Atlantic and Grambling State before traveling to Temple on Sept. 25.
A match against the regular season champion from last season, Memphis, will await Rice on Sept. 28 before welcoming conference rival UTSA on Oct. 2.
Another quick road trip to Charlotte continues conference play on Oct. 9, before returning home to face South Florida. The Owls will then head to North Texas on Oct. 19 for another conference rival matchup.
Senior Day is slated for Oct. 23, when Rice welcomes the reigning conference champion East Carolina.
A trip to Tulsa on Oct. 30 will round out the regular season schedule.
The AAC Tournament will start on Nov. 3 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
The Owls are coming off 12-6-2 season, reaching the AAC Semifinals, with Leah Chancey leading the team as the AAC Offensive Player of the Year. Coach Lee and his staff earned the AAC Coaching Staff of the Year.
