
Swim and Dive Announces 10 Newcomers for 2025-26 Season

HOUSTON — Rice swimming and diving head coach Seth Huston has announced the 10 newcomers to the squad for the 2025-26 season. The class includes eight freshmen and two transfers.
"We are really looking forward to integrating all of our new swimming and diving team members into our Championship program," said Huston. "This group is bright, personable, passionate and athletic. It is going to be fun to cultivate their growth as valuable members of the Rice University community and beyond."

LILY ARCHIBALD
PRIOR TO RICE
Swam at Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Conn., under head coach Paul Marchese … Was a finalist in the 2024 US National Finalist in the 100 Butterfly, as well as a four-time Junior National finalist and a five-time State Champion … Earned several individual honors, including holding two individual Connecticut state records, earning two All-American honors in the 100 Fly, and being named a top-three swimmer in the state since 2016 … Graduated with a 3.9 GPA on a 4.0 scale, earning High Honor Roll honors every quarter … Swam for the Ridgefield Aquatic Club under head coach Emmanuel Lanzo … Extracurriculars included being a private swim lesson instructor and helping with the Special Olympics.
