
Taylor Wraps Up 2025 Season at NCAA Championships

EUGENE – The Rice women's track and field team closed the 2025 campaign at the NCAA Outdoor Championships Saturday afternoon in Eugene, Oregon. Alice Taylor finished the meet with Honorable Mention All-American honors in the high jump.
After missing her first two attempts, Taylor successfully cleared 1.74m on her third try before bowing out of the competition at 1.79m, tied for 23rd.
Rice finished the meet with two points to finish tied for 57th.

Mckyla Van der Westhuizen secured another successful trip to Track Town USA with a seventh-place finish at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Thursday evening.
Her mark earns her First Team All-American honors, the third All-American honor of her career, and back-to-back First Team recognition.
Van der Westhuizen advanced to the finals after moving from tenth up to sixth on her third attempt with a distance of 56.65m. Her mark would remain the highest as Van der Westhuizen reached the podium once again in seventh place.
