"We started the day on a great note with freshman Julia Johannesdottir finishing third in a highly contested heptathlon. Alice Taylor also finished eighth with a tremendous 2:17 pb at the end of the heptathlon in the 800m. Continuing on to sophomore Cullen Merrell, who made the finals in the 800m. Riana Green also ran a big personal best in the 400m by .6 of a second, most likely earning her a spot at the prelims, and advancing to the finals. Morgan finished sixth to close her Rice shot put career, with an outstanding effort on her last throw. Saniya Friendly had the second fastest time in the 100m, a big pb for her and moving from seeded eighth to second. We closed up shop with Molly Humes scoring in the steeplechase, she ran a big personal best and I am so proud of her. Looking forward to tomorrow with all of the representation in all the flat events on the track, as well as the discus, high jump and triple jump."
