Bryan, Texas — The Rice Men's Golf team closed play on day one of the Aggie Invitational, played at Traditions Golf Club.
Junior Lukas Boandl leads the Owls in a tie for 38th-place at +9 after posting rounds of 73-80. Freshman Daniel Zou and sophomore Jaivir Pande are tied for 44th-place at +10. Zou had rounds of 76-78, while Pande carded consecutive 77's.
Graduate student Blake Benson posted rounds of 77-78 to sit at +11 in a tie for 50th-place. Senior Raghav Chugh is tied for 52nd-place at +13 after rounds of 80-77, and sophomore Reggie Zhu is +14 in a 58th-place tie after rounds of 81-77.
Rice is in ninth-place at +40 after carding rounds of 306-310.
Texas A&M leads the team tournament at -3, seven strokes in front of Oklahoma. Texas A&M's Phichaksn Maichon leads the individual competition at -3, two strokes in front of teammate Wheaton Ennis.

The final round begins tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. Rice will tee off beginning at 8 a.m. from hole No. 10 with student-athletes from Lamar and North Texas.
