Rice Concludes Regular Season at UH First Chance Meet

HOUSTON - The Rice Owls swim and dive teams will wrap up regular season competition on Saturday at the UH First Chance Meet hosted by the University of Houston. Action will begin at 10 a.m. from the CRWC Natatorium.
Last week, Rice had two different meets to attend to, one of which being against Houston in the CRWC Natatorium. In that meet, Rice earned six event victories, which helped Reese Cole and Ella Dyson earn AAC Freshman Swimmer and Swimmer of the Week honors. Along with the six victories, Rice registered nine podium finishes in the strong outing against the Cougars.
In addition to the meet at Houston, Owls swimming also took part in The Sterkel Classic at the University of Texas, competing against TCU, SMU, and the Longhorns. In that meet, Rice earned two victories, consisting of Dyson's victory in the 1650 Free and Ava Portello's win in the 500 Free.
Fans will be able to get live scores from MeetMobile, and be able to watch the meet through Houston Swim and Dive's YouTube channel, found here.
