Jaeger Headlines American Soccer Postseason Awards

IRVING – The Rice soccer team had several earn postseason recognition from the American Conference, with Jadyn Jaeger leading the way as the American Co-Freshman of the Year, while also being one of four to land a spot on an All-Conference team.
Leah Chancey was selected American All-Conference First Team, while Naija Bruckner and Lilly Reuscher both earned spots on the All-Conference Third Team. Jaeger was also selected to the All-Freshman Team.
Jaeger earns Co-Freshman of the Year honors after collecting two goals and four assists this season for eight points. She had the game-winning goal against Grambling State and had all four assists during conference play, including on the game-winning goal against Temple.
Chancey secured back-to-back seasons on the All-Conference First Team, following a tremendous season leading Rice with 10 goals and eight assists for 28 points. She led the conference in goals per game, points per game, and assists, while being second in goals and points. Chancey had a streak of six-consecutive games with a goal this season.
Bruckner earns her first career All-Conference recognition after tallying three goals this season, which ranked third on the team. She netted her first career goal on the road against UAB and scored the game-winning goal on the road against Temple.
Reuscher was named to the All-Conference Third Team after being named to the All-Freshman team a season ago. She has helped guide the defensive line all season, playing a full 90 minutes in 12 of Rice's 17 matches this season.
Sixth-seeded Rice will face three-seeded Tulsa Monday afternoon in the American Conference Quarterfinal.
