HOUSTON — Rice men's tennis head coach Efe Ustundag announced the signing of Francisco Salmain to the program's 2026 recruiting class.
"I am excited for Francisco to join our program next year," Ustundag said. "We are getting an absolute fighter who is going to compete for every point. He has an enormous hunger to improve, and I expect him to push his teammates daily. We will see immediate improvement when he starts training with us in the fall. A great addition with great character and work ethic."
Salmain, a Houston native, is ranked No. 17 nationally in USTA Boys' 18 and No. 1 in Texas. He went undefeated in singles at the L1 Spring Championship in 2025 and reached the semifinals in J30 singles and J60 doubles.
