Kuzmenok Advances to Quarterfinals

TULSA, Okla. – The Rice men's tennis team wrapped up a strong day of competition at the American Conference Individual Championship in Tulsa.
Tommy Czaplinski opened the day with a 6-7, 6-3, 10-3 victory over UTSA's Enzo Vargas in the round of 32. He later fell in the round of 16 to Memphis' Maxime Dubouch, 6-3, 6-3, 10-4.
Top-seeded Petro Kuzmenok opened his day with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Wichita State's Illias Worthington. He will face Ivan Dreycopp in the quarterfinals at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
Kuzmenok and Santiago Navarro will compete in the doubles quarterfinals where they will face UTSAs Grzegorzewski/Vargas at 10 a.m. Friday.
