Rice Takes Five Event Titles at FasTrak Invite

HOUSTON – The Rice women's track and field team had a great team showing at the FasTrak Invite claiming five event titles with four coming from the track.
Julia Johannesdottir had an impressive collegiate debut, claiming the 60m hurdles title with a time of 8.70s.
Saniya Friendly and Riana Green continued the great performances on the track by claiming the 60m and the 400m titles.
Amelie Attenborough had the final event title on the track, claiming the 800m title while also finishing third in the mile.
Over in the field events, Alice Taylor picked up right where she left off last meet with a clearance of 1.75m, this time to claim the event title. Josie Taylor was right behind with a second-place finish with a clearance of 1.70m.
