
Owls Have Strong Showing with Several Athletes Competing at UH

HOUSTON – The Rice women's track and field team had a very small showing but had several top performances Friday at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational at the University of Houston.
Alice Taylor and Josie Taylor opened the 2025 season right where they left off last season, with clearances of 1.75m to tie for second in the high jump.
Elena Siemens had a clearance of 3.55m in the pole vault to finish sixth in the event.
Morgan Fey and Laura Duckhorn rounded out Rice's showing with a sixth and twelfth place showing in the shot put.
