Owls and 49ers Set for 6 p.m. Kickoff on Families Weekend

Rice will open its 2024 AAC home schedule on Saturday, September 28 at 6 p.m. (central) when the Owls host Charlotte with coverage on ESPN+. The AAC and ESPN jointly announced the time of the game and broadcast partner assignment on Monday.
This will be the sixth meeting between the schools, with Rice leading the series 3-2, and the fourth consecutive meeting, which matches Houston, and UTSA for the Owls' longest active streaks.
The schools have split the first two meetings at Rice Stadium, with the Owls winning the first game of the series in 2015 and the 49ers the most recent game in Houston in 2022.
The game will be featured as part of Rice's annual Families Weekend.
