Lee Announces 2024 Rice Soccer Schedule

HOUSTON – Rice soccer head coach Brian Lee has announced the team's upcoming schedule for the 2024 season. A schedule featuring 12 home matches, the Owls will face several in-state rivals and NCAA Tournament teams from last season, including a road match against the defending national champions.
"Our student-athletes had a great spring and summer on the field and in the classroom as we gear up for an exciting 2024 season," Lee said. "The heavy home slate set for Holloway Field and an away match with the defending national champions are highlights before we embark on chasing a championship in year two in the AAC!"
The Owls will open the 2024 campaign at Holloway Field on Aug. 15 against Texas State. Rice will then welcome Navy before heading to the defending national champion Florida State on Aug. 22.
UTRGV will open a six-match homestand on Aug. 25, with the defending Southland Conference champion and 2023 NCAA Tournament team Lamar to follow on Aug. 29.
Texas Southern, Louisiana and Sam Houston will close out the non-conference slate.
Rice will open AAC play on Sept. 12, against Tulsa before hitting the road on Sept. 19, at South Florida.
Conference rival North Texas will take on Rice in Houston on Oct. 13, with the Owls then traveling to defending AAC Champion Memphis on Oct. 24.
Charlotte will wrap up the home contests for Rice on Oct. 27, with the regular-season finale at East Carolina on Halloween.
The AAC Tournament will start on Nov. 4 in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
