Boandl in Top 15 at Trinity Forest Invitational

Dallas, Texas — Junior Lukas Boandl carded a one-under 71 to move to -5 and sit in tie for 15th-place at the Trinity Forest Invitational, played at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
Boandl's round gives him nine at par or better this year and 25 in his career.
Freshman Daniel Zou had the Owls' best round of the day, firing a two-under 70 to sit in a 27th-place tie at -2. It is Zou's eighth round of par or better this year.
Senior Blake Benson is tied for 38th-place at even par after carding a 73. Sophomores Reggie Zhu and Jaivir Pande are +4 to sit in a 59th-place. Zhu posted a 75 while Pande shot a 76. Sophomore Braeden Hoyt carded a 77 to sit at +6 in a tie for 75th-place.
The Rice Golf team is tied for ninth-place at -4 after posting a one-over 289.
UNLV leads the team competition at -26, one stroke in front of USC. UNLV's Zach Little leads the individual tournament at -12, one stroke in front of Jack Buchanan of USC.

"We just didn't get enough birdies today, especially on the first nine holes. We couldn't get the putter going early. The second nine holes we started to hole some birdie putts and made a late comeback. There are plenty of chances out there for a move tomorrow. We just need to stick to our game plan and give ourselves plenty of chances."
