Golf Closes Play at Trinity Forest Invitational

Dallas, Texas — The Rice Golf team tied for ninth-place at the Trinity Forest Invitational.
The Owls carded an even par 288 to finish at -4.
Junior Lukas Boandl fired a three-under 69 to tie to 11th-place at -8. It's his 10th round of par or better this year and the 26th in his career. It's also the eighth round in the 60's this year and the 11th of his career.
Boandl now has four Top 20 finishes this season and eight in his career.
Freshman Daniel Zou tied for 27th-place at -3 after carding a 71. It is Zou's ninth round of par or better this year. Senior Blake Benson also posted a 71 to finish at -1 in a tie for 34th-place. It is his fourth round of par or better this year and the 12th of his career.
Sophomore Braeden Hoyt, playing as an individual, finished at +7 in a tie for 66th-place after carding a 66. Sophomore Jaivir Pande carded a 77 to finish at +9 in a tie for 73rd-place, and sophomore Reggie Zhu carded a 78 to finish in 79th-place at +10.
UNLV won the team competition at -34, two strokes in front of Loyola Marymount. SMU's Zachary Kingsland earned medalist honors at -14, two strokes in front of Jack Buchanan of USC.
