Rice Concludes Competition at Ron Wesbrooks Invitational

BEAUMONT, Texas - Members of the Rice Owls men's tennis team wrapped up competition at the Ron Wesbrooks Invitational on Sunday afternoon.
Emir Sendogan and Yair Sarouk were the two Owls to earn victories on the day, with Sendogan clinching third place in Flight One with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Merse Deli from ACU, while Sarouk secured seventh place in Flight Two with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Haruki Omori-Cowie from Lamar.
In doubles action, Joshua Mandelbaum and Sarouk fell in the finals match to Lahjomri and Sasso from UT Arlington, falling 6-4.
Rice men's tennis will return to action on October 17, taking part in the ITA Men's Texas Regional Championships in Fort Worth.
