
Golf in Eighth after First Round of Trinity Forest Invitational

Dallas, Texas — The Rice Golf team fired a -5, 283 to sit in eighth-place after one round of the Trinity Forest Invitational, played at Trinity Forest Golf Club.
Junior Lukas Boandl is tied for 10th-place after firing a four-under 68. It is his eighth round of par or better this year and the 24th of his career, and the seventh round in the 60's this year and the 10th of his career.
Senior Blake Benson carded a 71 to sit in a tie for 35th-place at -1. It is his third round of par or better this year and the 11th of his career.
Freshman Daniel Zou and sophomore Jaivir Pande are tied for 41st-place after round of even par 72. It is Zou's seventh round of par or better this year. Pande now has four rounds of par or better this year and eight in his career.
Sophomores Reggie Zhu and Braeden Hoyt posted rounds of 73 to sit in a tie for 51st-place at +1.
USC leads the team competition at -15, three strokes in front of Loyola Marymount. USC's Jack Buchanan leads the individual tournament at -8, two strokes ahead of Joey Lenane of North Carolina State.
