Sydney Morgan to Represent the AAC in NCAA Division I SAAC Meetings

HOUSTON – Rice senior swimmer Sydney Morgan will represent the American Athletic Conference as the voice of AAC student-athletes in the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) meetings in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The meeting in Indianapolis gives NCAA student-athletes an opportunity to have their voices heard and give feedback on the NCAA structure and various pieces of legislation the NCAA is planning to implement. Additionally, the meeting allows student-athletes to suggest and recommend their own pieces of legislation and participate in the administrative processes of the NCAA and athletics programs, giving them a chance to impact not just their sport, but the world of collegiate sport.
Morgan is a member of both the Rice SAAC executive board and the AAC SAAC executive board. Along with Morgan, other members of the Rice executive board include Lola Foord (Co-President, Volleyball), Sydney Bogan (Co-President, Women's XC/T&F), Ben Tijerina (Secretary, Men's XC, T&F), Arayna Mickles (AAC Representative, Women's XC/T&F), Mark Perkins (AAC Representative, Baseball), Kate Twede (Events Chair, Women's XC/T&F), Mia Nagle (Community Service Chair, Swim and Dive), Maggie Forbes (Student Associations Chair, Women's XC/T&F), Mimi Filkin (DEIB Chair, Swim and Dive), Riana Green (Social Media Chair, Women's XC/T&F), and Christian Edgar (Football Liaison, Football).
