Halseth Earns Spot on AAC Honor Roll

IRVING – After leading the Owls to back-to-back road wins this past week, Ellen Halseth was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll.
Halseth led Rice with six points this past week, scoring two goals while adding two assists. Halseth scored the game-winning goal on the road against Texas Southern while also adding an assist in the match. She replicated her stats in the following game at Northwestern State, scoring the game's first goal while assisting on the game-winning goal.
Halseth, a forward from Norway, is a graduate transfer this season and leads the team in points (6), assists (2), shots (12), shots on goal (5) and is co-leader in goals (2) and game-winning goals (1).
Following wins at Texas Southern (5-2) and Northwestern State (2-1), the Owls sit at 2-2 to start the 2023 season.
The Owls will be back in action Thursday for the team's home opener against Houston at 7 p.m.
