Allianz Para Swimming World Championships
Rice's Ahalya Lettenberger will open competition in the Allianz World Para Swimming Championships in Manchester, England on Monday, looking to add to her collection of World Championship medals.
Lettenberger opens competition in her third world championship when she competes in the S7 200 meter individual medley on Monday She was fourth in this event in 2022 after capturing a silver medal at the Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
She will close out her program on Tuesday when she represents the United States and goes for a third consecutive medal in the S7 400-meter freestyle. She captured a bronze medal in last year's championship after winning a silver in the event at the 2019 championship in her debut as a member of Team USA.
The 2023 World Para Swimming Championships will be held at the Manchester Aquatics Centre, July 31, 2023-August 6, 2023. All races will be streamed live on Peacock
