Chugh Ties for Ninth at Border Olympics

Laredo, Texas — Freshman Raghav Chugh tied for ninth-place at the spring opening Border Olympics, played at Laredo Country Club.
Chugh carded a final round 77 to finish two-over par. It is his second top ten finish this season, becoming the first freshman since Kevin Reilly had four to produce multiple top ten's in a season.
Sophomore Rodrigo Martin tied for 36th-place at 11-over par after closing with an 81. Junior Thomas Bockholt III finished with a 78 to close 13-over par in a tie for 49th-place.
Senior Jack Diamond carded a 77 to tie for 66th-place at 17-over par while senior Harrison Hineline tied for 70th-place at 18-over par after closing with an 81.
The Owls tied for ninth-place at 37-over par after shooting a 313.
Houston won the team competition at 12-under par, 15 strokes in front of Louisiana Tech. UH's Alexander Frances defeated teammate Andrew Gibson in a playoff to earn medalist honors.
