
Bella Killgore Named Second Team Scholar All-American

HOUSTON — One week after earning her degree, Rice Soccer goalkeeper Bella Killgore has been named Second Team Scholar All-American by the United Soccer Coaches, the organization announced Thursday.
It is her third academic honor this year, having also been named to Conference USA's All-Academic Team and the CSC Academic All-District Team.
The C-USA Goalkeeper of the Year, Killgore earns the honor for the second time, also having been awarded in 2020-21. She is a Chemical Engineering major with a 3.68 GPA. She led C-USA with 89 saves and eight shutouts and placed second in saves per game (4.45) and save percentage (.788). In conference games, she led the league in shutouts (6), goals against average (0.30) and save percentage (.942) while allowing just three goals. She became the first goalkeeper in Conference USA history with 350 career saves, 45 wins, 25 shutouts.
