Soccer Duo Earns Academic All-District

HOUSTON — Goalkeeper Bella Killgore and midfielder Delaney Schultz have been named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
Killgore earns the honor for the second time, also having been awarded in 2020-21. She is a Chemical Engineering major with a 3.68 GPA. She led C-USA with 89 saves and eight shutouts and placed second in saves per game (4.45) and save percentage (.788). In conference games, she led the league in shutouts (6), goals against average (0.30) and save percentage (.942) while allowing just three goals. She became the first goalkeeper in Conference USA history with 350 career saves, 45 wins, 25 shutouts.
Schultz is double-majoring in Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences, earning a 3.65 GPA. She was second on the team in goals and points and third in assists. In conference games, the St. Louis, Mo., native is second in Conference USA with five goals and 12 points while leading the league with three game-winning goals.
