Win six of eight matches on Thursday
In Brief: Rice won four of six singles matches and both doubles matches on the first day of the 2022 Rice Fall Challenge at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
The Details: The format of the Fall Challenge matches teams in both singles and doubles each day while not facing the same team in both. Facing BYU in singles, Rice picked up straight-set wins by Yasha Zemel, Kabeer Kapasi and Eduardo Morais while Trinity Grear won in three sets. Kapasi and Zemel combined on a doubles win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi as did Grear and Wes Barnett.
