Golf in Eighth-Place at The Clerico

Tulsa, Okla. — After over a two hour delay due to thunderstorms, the Rice Golf team is in eighth-place at the Clerico.
Due to weather, the tournament has been shortened to two rounds.
The Owls are 16-over par after shooting a 300. New Mexico State leads the tournament at four-under, ten strokes in front of UMKC.
Junior Rodrigo Martin is tied for 14th-place after opening with a one-over par 72. Freshman Lukas Boandl carded a four-over par 75 and is tied for 29th-place. Freshman Henry Daly is tied for 36th-place at five-over par after posting a 76.
Junior Blake Benson and graduate student Jay Kirchdorfer are tied for 43rd-place at six-over par after posting a 77.
New Mexico State's Garrison Smith and Joshuaa Robards of UMKC are tied for the individual lead at three-under par, one stroke in front of Oral Roberts' Brandon Huff and South Alabama's Hugo Thyr.

The final round begins tomorrow at 8 a.m. Rice will tee off at 9:03 a.m. from the 10th hole and is paired with student-athletes from Missouri State and Texas State.
