Golf Closes Fall Slate at The Clerico

HOUSTON — After two straight top-three finishes, the Rice Golf will close its fall schedule when it travels to Tulsa, Okla., for the Clerico, Oct. 24-25, played at the Oaks Country Club.
TEAM FIELD
Joining Rice in the 12-team field are UMKC, Missouri State, New Mexico State, Northern Iowa, Oral Roberts, South Alabama, Southern Utah, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, UTSA and Utah State. Individuals from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will also compete.

KORN FERRY TOUR EXEMPTION
The individual champion will earn an exemption into one of the newest Korn Ferry Tour's events, the Compliance Solutions Championship, June 19-25, 2023, at Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman, Okla.

Raghav Chugh – No. 1 position … is first since 1991 in career stroke average (72.17) and average vs. par (+0.52) … second on the team with a 70.89 stroke average … is tied for the team lead with six rounds of par or better and four rounds in the 60's … had the best tournament finish of his career, tying for second-place at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational … tied for 17th-place at the Tempest Collegiate … his performance earned his Conference USA Co-Golfer of the Week … 2022 Conference USA Freshman of the Year … 2022 Conference USA All-Freshman Team.
Henry Daly – No. 2 position … leads the team with a 70.44 stroke average … is tied for the team lead with six rounds of par or better and four rounds in the 60's … also has a team-best four rounds in the 60's … two top-20 finishes … had his best finish at the Tempest Collegiate, tying for seventh-place … in his first career tournament, finished six-under par in a tie for 12th-place at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate, where he fired two rounds in the 60's … followed with a tie for 11th-place at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
Jay Kirchdorfer – No. 3 position … graduate transfer from Kentucky … third on the team with a 72.11 stroke average … has four rounds of par or better … had the best finish of his career at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational, where he tied for 14th-place … opened the tournament by firing a career-best 68, his first career round in the 60's …tied for 19th-plcae at the Tempest Collegiate … twice carded a 70 at the season-opening Jim Rivers Intercollegiate.
Lukas Boandl – No. 4 position … has a 74.00 stroke average … has three rounds of par or better … had his best finish at the Tempest Collegiate, tying for 26th-place … made his first career start at the Jim Rivers Intercollegiate … tied for 59th-place at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational … carded his first career round of par or better in the first round by shooting an even par 70.
