HOUSTON — The 16th-ranked Rice Soccer team closes its opening homestand this Sunday, August 22, when it hosts Stephen F. Austin. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be livestreamed at CUSAtv.

• Head Coach Brian Lee is in his third season at the helm of the Rice soccer program. He holds a 25-9-4 record and is 312-197-59 in 25 years as a head coach.
• Rice welcomes back 17 letterwinners and nine starters from last year's squad that went 14-3-1, won the Conference USA championship and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen
• Senior defender Mijke Roelfsema leads the backend after earning First Team All-America honors last year.

• The Lumberjacks are coming off a 7-0 defeat in their season opener against eighth-ranked TCU.
• SFA was picked as the favorite in the WAC Southwest Division after finishing 10-6-3 last year.

• Redshirt sophomore defender Jamie Jezierski was named to the Preseason All-WAC Team.
