Soccer Ranked No. 22 in TopDrawerSoccer Preseason Poll

HOUSTON — Coming off its best season in history, the Rice soccer program is already earning recognition heading into the 2021 campaign.
A week after being ranked 22nd in the United Coaches preseason poll, the Owls are also ranked preseason No. 22 in the TopDrawerSoccer poll.
It is the first time in school history that the Owls are ranked in the preseason Top 25 of either poll.
The 2021 Rice soccer team returns 17 letterwinners from last year's NCAA Tournament team and welcomes in a talented new recruiting class of six players.
This year's campaign begins this Saturday, August 14, when the Owls hosts Lamar in an exhibition match at 6 p.m. The regular season begins on August 19 when they host Sam Houston State at 7 p.m.
