Soccer Adds A Pair of Games

HOUSTON — Rice has added a pair of games to its 2021 Soccer schedule, the team announced Friday afternoon.
The Owls will host Northwestern State on Aug. 29. It is the third time that the teams will meet and the first time since 2004. Rice won the previous two meetings.
Rice will then travel to Philadelphia, Pa., to take on Penn on Sept. 19. It's just the second meeting in the series and the first since 2006, a 0-0 tie in Philadelphia.
The season begins Aug. 10 when the Owls travel to Forth Worth to face NCAA Elite Eight participant TCU in an exhibition match. The regular season begins on Aug. 19 when they host Southland Conference tournament championship participant Sam Houston State.
