Three-Goal Game For Owls' Junior Forward
Kent came off the bench to score three goals in 46 minutes of playing time last Sunday in Rice's home victory vs. Texas Southern. The Houston native scored on three of her six shots for a .500 shots on-goal percentage. She recorded the program's first three-goal game since 2017.
This is the first time in her career for Kent to be named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week. She joins Owl teammate Bella Killgore as a C-USA weekly award winner this season. Western Kentucky's Avery Jacobsen was named the Defensive Player of the Week. Old Dominion's Jasmine Crawley was named the league's goalkeeper of the week. All C-USA weekly awards are presented by Surf and Turf Golf.
The 3-0-0 Rice soccer team is next in action on Sunday (Feb. 28). The Owls open C-USA league play with a road game at UTSA. Start time against the Roadrunners is set for 1 pm in San Antonio.
